 Termites constitute a separate order of insects called Isoptera.

According to their habits, termites can be divided in to two well define groups;

1.  Subterranean or  Ground nesting termites which build nest in the soil and live them.
2. Non subterranean or Wood nesting termites or Dry wood termite or Dump wood termite which live in wood with no contact with soil.
